Maytronics/Dolphin s200 swivel cord not swiveling --- anything to try before replacement?

Our robot is three years old, and a couple of runs around the pool create a tangled cord mess. I'm guessing that the swivel has stopped swiveling. I can manually turn the cord in the swivel "thing". Is there anyway to clean or lubricate the swivel part, or are we stuck with replacing the whole hose at $150?

Mine sort of does the same thing, but if it gets bad enough to restrict the robot, it pulls through the swivel and the robot continues on. When I pull the robot up to its resting ledge, the twists pretty much pull out to be ready for the next run.

I doubt a new cord will change it.

There is a thread here on taking the swivel apart. I have never done it.

I took apart the swivel, and am straightening the cord in the sun. What is the recommended lube for the swivel?

Yes, the swivel is easy to disassemble. Lubricate with Magic Lube II and reassemble.

All done and reassembled. It still doesn't turn "like butta" but we'll see how it does in the pool. It's having a time-out on the deck right now.
