Master Pools 5 port valve - does it need any maintenance ?

Hi! Thanks to all who helped me identify my Master Pools in-floor sprinklers valve a while ago in this thread: http://www.troublefreepool.com/threads/86709-Help-identifying-pool-equipment-please

I had it installed 1.5 years ago and it had worked flawlessly until 2 weeks ago. Then it began making a squealing noise. The operation does not seem to be affected.
I am wandering if this valve requires any maintenance/lubrication/adjustments/cleaning etc?

I am not familiar with that valve specifically but many pool valves have o-rings that benefit from periodic lubrication using 100% silicone lube available in the plumbing section. It is important that it not be a petroleum based lube.
