Massachusetts without a heater? Intex 12x24x52

Hi All,
We are almost ready to install our 12x24x52 intex pool. Just waiting on a company to do the final level and the town permit.
Question: we are not planning to get a heater, we only plan to use it on hot summer days and we feel like at 48 inches deep(for the water level) it should be ok to swim in. Am I crazy tom go without a heater? This is purely a temporary thing for us, so I don’t want to go too crazy.
Any advice is great.
Average summer temps are 79 during the day and 65 at night.

At the very least, I'd get a solar cover to use overnight. That will help keep in some of the heat that you gain during the day. You can find really cheap ones online. I got mine off Ebay.

If you decide you like using the pool you can always add a heater later. I added one this year and its a game changer. We are swimming a month early and hopefully staying open into October!
