Hi,
I have a Polaris pool cleaner. Recently it stopped moving altogether. Water is not making it to the Polaris. The pump is working. I opened up the pump and the blade is moving and functioning fine as well.
The issue with the Polaris is that it does not move at all on normal cleaning cycles. However If I manually place the system on timeout and then turn the filter pump up to the highest setting ~3000 rpm instead of base of 1650, the Polaris does start working. Once it does start moving I can lower it back to 1650 rpm and it keeps working. On inspection the filter pump and the Polaris pump look like independent systems. I'm not sure why they're behaving like this. Any feedback on what I can do to help improve this would be great.
Thanks!
