Hello everyone. After spending what seems to be an an exorbitant amount of money to keep my pool clean, I (finally) listened to my wife (I know l, right?) to decided to really read up on my own pool care with the TFP ebook.
I have a 19,000 gallon chlorine pool with an in-line trichlor chlorinator. I had been using calcium hypochlorite for t but suffered the scaling that we ended up investing on someone to descale our pool this summer. To prevent this repeat scaling, I ended up buying the non-chlorine oxidizer, buying more trichlor tabs that the pool stores are selling and using an algaecide to clear up any algae blooms. The pool is clear but I’ve been spending way too much money on keeping it that way.
Now that I’m transitioning to the TFP way, I want to know if I should continue to use the trichlor in-line feeder or just use bleach or liquid chlorine and leave the in-line feeder forever. I still have a 20 lb bin of chlorine tabs that I’ve opened already but I guess I can just eat up that cost in the short term to save in the long run.
Thanks for your guidance!
