Making progress but getting stuck *more pics*

The city approved my permit Bestway oval pool, yayy! I built a retaining wall filled, level and pack with crush n run. I thought i was ready to assemble but the instructions says to use paver or timber for the vertical supports if your soil is soft.

So my questions are:
Are crush runner considered soft? If so, the timber i was going to use is 1in thick and i already leveled my area. Do i. Have to level all over again :/

Re: Making progress but getting stuck

For the oval pools it is especially important to use pressure treated wood under the uprights. You don't need to re-level the pool, but what you do is mark out where the uprights will go, lay down the wood and trace the outline, then use a hand trowel to recess the wood into the crusher so the top is level with the crusher base. The base is already level so you level the wood into the base. Its just going one step further than you have done, because you would need to level the base first anyway.

Yes, you still need to put supports under the legs. And please use a big enough width span, minimum +8" the entire width of the arm span, just not just the center section of it. Way too many times you see where the supports were not wide enough, and the arms bent the center down and over the support, bending and ruining the arm assy. Search the fourm and you will see the damage that can result on the arms if not supported fully.
Large 2" x 10" pressure treated boards, minimum at least 8" wider than the entire base. This will allow room for movement when filling etc.

I believe you need bigger pavers. I was planning on doing the 8x16x4 pavers, but changed my mind the night before we put ours up bc of some posts I had seen here. Do a search, but I’ve seen several where the legs had bent on these. The bottom of the u will bend up, if that makes sense. It looks like you have one of the ultra frames, each of those legs supports 550 lbs I think.

The legs need to be completely supported. You have a good 3-4" hanging off the paver and the leg will bend around the edge of the paver when the pool is full. Either center the legs on the pavers or add another paver next to it so the leg is fully supported.

I filled the pool at about 7 inches and there is a 2inches diffrence from one end to the other. I didnt set one of the pavers flush to level ground and the leg is about 1 inch higher. I think thats causing the level diffrence. Im still able to push the liner so im going to try to do that while i trowel down to level. Or should i wait until the pool is full and hope the weight will level the leg?
