Maintenance light on RJ45

Rainwater is typically low pH and zero TA/CH.

Watch your CSI, keep it slightly negative. Letting CH go to 250 and keeping ph around 7.8 should do the trick.

I've never had to do it, so I just want to learn it properly.

You don't need to do anything special to lower your TA.
And a TA of 70 in your location is perfectly fine, given you usually use rain water for refill.
Just lower the pH to keep CSI slightly negative - in the 0.00 to -0.30 range.
