Everything appears to be working in my pool including the water fountain. As soon as I try to move the valve over to the main drain the low pressure red light start flashing. Besides the main drain being clogged what else can I check? And if it is clogged how difficult is it to unclog it?

Welcome to TFP! It might help to post some pics of your equipment pad and any automation devices you use. You can also update your signature (see mine as an example). It may be getting dark now, so you can post pics tomorrow if you need better light.

Thanks I did update some things. I’m glad to be a new member on this forum. So this morning I slowly turn the main drain, as you can see in the picture and water flow has been good for about 30 minutes now. I’ll have to keep an eye on it though not really trusting the main drain at this point. Why would it all of a sudden work. One important note I did not add yesterday. Last night about 630 my pool randomly shut off. I went out and I noticed the water fountain water had drained quite a bit. Finally got the pool up and running with the main drain off.

Still a bit confusing why water suction from your main drain would start & stop without moving the 3-way valve that adjusts water suction between the drain and skimmer. The water fountain is of course on the other side of the system (pressure side), so it is controlled by the other 3-way valve. As to why your system randomly shut off, that's odd as well unless there is a timer set to do so. Let us know if you see any other odd symptoms and we can try to put our heads together.

A Reply to your first comment. I did move the three-way valve to slightly open main drain when low pressure occurred. This morning all is running well. Hmm…. I do have a timer but it’s from 5 AM to 12 AM. It randomly shut off about 6:30 PM. I’ll keep you posted thanks for your reply.
