Potassium/Magnesium pools are popular in Australia, I think they use a standard SGW with a 70%-30% mixture Potassium and Magnesium, chloride. I am wondering if I can add magnesium chloride to my pool safely? I use a lot of epsom salt for sore muscles and was thinking it might just add magnesium to the pool.

I can’t see a problem with this other than MgCl2 has a little more chlorine so pool math will be off slightly. Add less and test?
good thinking. IT is going to take me some time to implement this. I will post if when I have anything interesting to report.
