I tested my water using the Taylor test kit. I must have accidentally added an extra drop in the TA test as I thought my TA was 66 and twice now I tested it at 55.

When I thought I had it at 66 I added the Boric Acid. Pool now sits at PH 7.4, FC 5, TA 55, CYA 40 (will increase in a couple weeks after I know I won’t need to slam as ai use a SWG.). OCLT is holding fine.

My question- Should I go through the effort of trying to increase the TA or is 55 okay.

Thanks.

You’re good 👍🏻
If it goes lower than 50 you wanna raise it back to 50 w/ baking soda - to prevent this from happening only lower ph a little if it rises to 8 to keep it in the 7’s.
If your fill ta/ph isn’t crazy high you likely won’t need to lower ph much.
Do u have water features?
