Low pressure on filter

Hi there,

New pool owner and having an issue I can use some help with. New pool has been running for a month with no real issues with pump / filter system.

However, today I realized the pressure on filter was much lower than it has been (7 PSI). I cleaned all baskets and impeller and checked for any visible clogs at skimmers and pump. I have not opened up the filter yet.. that's a bigger project than I have time for today since it's my first time and thought that was unlikely to be causing this.

Any recommended next steps to troubleshoot?

Fyi, filter is Hayward Swimclear 4 cartridge.

Joe,

The filter pressure is related to the speed that your pump is running..

Are you comparing apples to apples.. ???

Do you notice any difference in the amount of water coming out of your pool returns?

As long as you have good flow, low pressure is not a problem.. My filter pressure is only about 1 lb.
