Hi everyone,

My friend has a underground pool with a 1.25 water pump and a fountain. even when we turn off the fountain, he has almost no pressure at is pool jets.

we have also tried bypassing the sand filter with same results.

i can block the jet with my finger with almost no resistance.

also the pump is always super hot and he has 17 psi of pressure. If we bypass the sand filter we get about 15 psi in

the length of flex pvc pipe is +- is 20 feet

does anyone has any idea what is wrong.

the pool company went took a look at the problem and don’t understand why this is happening.

Thanks

From the pic, it doesn't look there is any way to bypass that heater huh? That's about the only thing on the tail-end of the system that would impact flow. Now if you go back to the suction side, there could either be a slight suction blockage, or perhaps something obstructing flow in the pump itself. Maybe remove the clear lid at the pump (power OFF) and feel around the impeller for anything that may be affecting it movement.

The ozonator thing (I think that is what it is) also creates quite a bit of restriction. Remove it.
