Low flow

Hi, my filter isn't pushing water like it should be. At max speed (3000) on my pump, it's expelling water from my jets at a speed akin to a 1500 speed.

When set to recirculate, everything is normal.

I took apart my filter, cleaned the fins, added new DE and it was fine for a day. Now it's back to the same problem.

Physical inspection of the filter appears to be fine. Any suggestions?

How did you clean the grids (hopefully not an acid wash)? How much DE was added back?

i just sprayed the fins down with my hose. I added a full bag like I normally do. The box of DE i buy has 4-6 individual bags so no measuring is required.

I should also clarify that I have a minimal algae problem I'm battling as I get my CYA and FC up to snuff. Maybe the algae is clogging my filter. I may backwash and try again.

Hopefully that's not more than 4# or so of DE. Cloudy water is usually algae and DE filters are very good at filtering out algae (and clogging because of that).
