Low CYA, is it a problem?

I am currently adding 1/2 gal of 12% every evening which i think comes out to roughly a 2ppm burn off per day of chlorine. The water is crystal clear and I haven't had any alage problems since my initial opening. I feel like if its not broke don't fix it? Is there something I'm missing?

As long as you're keeping your FC above minimum for your CYA level.....just consider yourself lucky you're only losing 2 ppm daily! That could change as the summer heats up.

That is exactly my experience pre-SWCG. I would either add 1/2 gallon/day or 1 gallon ever other day. Same sized pool.

If you are planning to be away from home you can use several trichlor tabs in a floater without issue.
