Hi there, recently moved to house with the pool about six months ago. Had somebody maintaining the pool but this year I’m trying it on my own. The issue I’m running into is my chlorine and stabilizer levels will not go up.

I’ve added shock at least weekly and added about 3 pounds of stabilizer about a day ago. Neither of the values have gone up.

Ben measuring my pool values in the morning here are the values from this morning

Build Type: Plaster

Volume: 13000 gallons

Chemistry: SWG

------------------------------------------

Latest Test Result Summary:

FC: 0.0 (1 hour ago)

CC: 0.0 (1 hour ago)

pH: 7.5 (1 hour ago)

TA: 80 (1 hour ago)

CH: 290 (1 hour ago)

CYA: 10 (1 hour ago)

SALT: 3000 (1 hour ago)

TEMPERATURE: 84° (1 hour ago)

CSI: -0.22 (1 hour ago)

Your 3lbs added 28 CYA to your water, so I would count your CYA as 40 for now and give it a few days to raise up.

Now your #1 priority is your FC. Add a gallon of liquid chlorine (10% strength) to get your FC up and use your SWG to keep it in the 5-7 range.

Let us know how the water looks and we can go from there.
