Low Calcium Hardness

Ordered my test kit but it hasn’t arrived yet. Wanted to get a quick check before Father’s Day weekend - pool looks clear and doesn’t seem to have any issue except for some plaster chipping which I figured was due to low calcium hardness.
Went to pool store and they ran their tests and it showed 62. When I put this in the Pool Math app it’s saying to add 85 (!!!) lbs of Calcium Hardness increaser. I bought Balance Pak 300 but it comes in 7 lb bags. Do I really need to buy 10+ of these?? They aren’t cheap!

Wait for a proper test kit. Pool stores rarely get CH test results even close to reality.

If your pool is vinyl lined, there is no need to be concerned with CH.
If you have a heater, the heater manufacturer may state a minimum CH level.

Either way - as Marty @mknauss stated - wait for a proper test kit.
