Low Alkalinity, but high PH

My alkalinity is at 65, but PH is at 7.9. How can I raise alkalinity and lower PH?

No reason to raise alkalinity. And a TA of 65 is not a measurement our recommended test kits can measure. What test kit are you using.

Depending on your CH, a pH of 7.9 may be just fine too.

I’m using Taylor as my test kit, but the 65 came from a water sample taken to Leslies. My Taylor test kit and Leslies are both fairly close to showing the same results.

IF your TA is 70 -- then no baking soda is needed. That TA is just fine. When pH gets to 8, lower it to 7.6.
