Looks like I'm needing a new main board for my Hayward Pro Logic

Displaying the "high salt/high voltage" message. I did run the diagnostic menu check and getting a reading of 40.5 V, so it's apparently time for a new main board.

Does anybody have guidance for me on a good source for the GLX-PCB-PRO board? My pool guy wants 1000 bucks to replace, I know that he needs to make some money but at a quick glance it looks like I can get a replacement for under 600 dollars online?

I don't really know how it gets the high voltage, but it is a relatively common problem that can usually be fixed with a dab of solder.

The high voltage causes the high amperage and shutdown.

How do you touch up the bad points?
do you need to remove the old solder prior to putting in new?

No, just reheating the solder joint with some flux on it is usually sufficient

And how do you remove the old solder?

Lots of videos on YouTube for soldering and desoldering.
