Looks like Dead Algae, but is it Still Alive?

Hi All,

I had some growth in the pool (green algae) that went away after a week of getting my levels where they need to be. However, I have what looks like dead algae that won’t scrub off the sun shelf or the black grout where the skimmer is. Is this algae? If so, is it still alive, since it won’t brush off?

If you have not done a full SLAM Process you probably have more algae around your pool.
