Good morning!
There is or was a robot thread with a link to a Colorado (?) store for purchasing it. Can this be linked here again? Thank you. If anyone has a strong suggestion - let me know. I think many on here are a fan of the Maytronics found in the above mentioned thread.

As always TYIA for all of your help and advice.

Marina pools and spas in Colorado. You have to call and they are as swamped as anyone else right now so it may take some tries. Also, keep in mind it’s Colorado time when you’re trying. Ask for Margaret and she will gather your info/specs/needs and tell you what you need. She has talked many members out of upselling so we more than trust her when she does recommend a more expensive unit.

I just sent a friend to them and he got a bad robot. It seems like with the rush to restock the back orders that quality control went out the window at all the manufacturers. Anyway, Margaret stepped right in like she always does (once you get her, lol) and upgraded my friend for free because the one he had just bought was then out of stock.

He was happy enough to save $200 on the original purchase and then over the moon at the upgrade. Manufacturers defects will happen either way, but with Margaret on your side, you cannot go wrong.

I was hoping to get another year out of our pressure side cleaner, but it was doing such a poor job cleaning the pool we ended up buying a robotic cleaner from Marina Pool & Spa. When I called last week, they were VERY limited on selection so we ended up with a Prowler 930. FedEx delivered yesterday, put it together, ran a 2 hour cycle and the pool was pretty much spotless! Great service from Margaret and her team, with very fast shipping.

I just purchased an S400 (they got 4 in) as I wanted the S300i and she said that will be replaced by the S400 and they wont' be getting any more S300i. Got a great price from them and she was, as advertised, extremely nice and explained the features. In fact a young man called me earlier to tell me no inventory and they would let me know when inventory would come back in. Margaret called me back 30 minutes later to say 4 S400's arrived and I jumped on one.

I'll throw my 2¢ in. Marina support after sales is VERY "lacking" in trying to get a person to answer a phone call or respond to an email after the sale. To do it over again after purchasing a M600 from them, I would spend the extra dollars and buy locally. Any issues that arise, when you get a hold of someone at Marina, they will refer you to Maytronics or a local repair facility. My local repair sites were not very receptive or hospitable due to buying off the "internet" or not locally, and referred to Maytronics for repairs. The Locals repair facilities would do the repair, but it would be place lower than their "Preferred Customers" ie 2-3 weeks minimum for any repairs to take place.

Oh boy that's not great to hear. Be interesting to hear from others. I have read some other comments about good experiences so that is something to definitely think about if that turns out to be a consensus by any means.

You aren't buying it off the internet. Marina's is a brick and mortar store, so you are entitled to all warranty work brick and mortar stores provide by Maytronics.
Others who have had issues have called Marina's and they've replaced or sent a new part....whatever. Remember that you're calling CO time.

There have been a few who had issues and marina trouble shot over the phone and shipped them a part vs making them mail it back in.
Everybody has options but considering you can save a few hundreds bucks and buy from a “ authorized “ seller invite for marina.

PS: I almost gave up on her also but once I got in contact I had my pentair SE in 4 days

I guess I can consider myself lucky as I didn't have any trouble getting her on the phone and was very responsive via email too. Everyone is intiteled to a moody day, wouldn't you agree. I even had an issue with the robot not working and contacted her via email of how to proceed. She responded very much within a reasonable time frame with a link about the motor shifting in shipping which was exactly my issue. It's been 3 weeks now and runs every day. Just love it.

Yes they are a brick and mortar store, but a POOL store which is taboo here... As they are not local business, the local repair centers here push these repairs to the back of the line and consider the purchase internet. Marina was non-responsive BEFORE covid and referred repairs and issues to Maytronics. Maytronics requires you to send in the robot on your dime which is about $60 for shipping.

I thought I read once of someone being sent a shipping label?
Starting the 5th return to Maytronic for repair of the M600, they did start issuing call tags after escalating the issue with supervisors/managers, I spent over $250 in shipping to them. They issue a total of 8 in the ensuing repairs, it doesn't bode well for their repair service if it takes 13 times to fix a robot. They finally shipped out a new replacement that also failed right out of the box (power supply).
