Hi, I have been reading the forums for a while trying to get up to speed on knowledge. I am trying to understand the proper RPM and timing needed to run my pump. Currently it runs daily from 6am-12pm at 3000rpm, 77gpm, 1467 W then from 12pm-3pm on low. I am in the Phoenix area and set the time based on the power company's lowest cost net metering hours. All help is appreciated.

Pump Pentair intelliflo 3
Heater Pentair 400k
Waterfall feature
Infloor cleaning system
Thank you

Welcome to TFP! For your pump speed, run it on the lowest rpm you can to skim the water's surface unless you need more rpm for the cleaning system or pool cleaner if you have one. There's no reason to run it at 3,000 for so long.

If you didn't already know, be careful about the tab feeder. Tabs are stabiized and add CYA to the water quite fast. Be sure to test your own water with a TF-100 or Taylor K-2006C test kit and you'll be ahead of the game,

Thank you.

New,

Please tell me why you are running your IntelliFlo at 3000 RPM? Just curious.

Thanks,

Jim R.
Thats how it was setup originally after discussions with pool builder on the times I wanted the pump to run. After doing research here I began to question it. Still not confident yet on how it should be setup.
