Looking for a new pool pump/filter system

Hi!
We are looking to purchase a new pool pump/filter system. We currently have a HydroTools Cartridge Filter system. We don't care if they are separate but we need a whole new system. Are variable speed options available or do we stick with a dual speed? Also, we are running on 115V. Our pool is 24x54 round. There are so many it is overwhelming. Thanks!

Waterway PowerDefender 140 is 120/240 capable. Not a lot of others. Hayward and Pentair make them but are considerably more in cost. Hayward S-244T sand filter would work, or any cartridge filter. You can get the pump first, then look for a filter. Try to get at least 200 sq.ft. Yours now is probably sq.ft. Or, get a second one like you have, plumb it parallel with your existing one.

I am revisiting this again as we never pulled the plug on anything. I am looking for suggestions on the best pool pump/filter system for our above ground pool. We do not want a sand filter system, we are looking for a cartridge filter system.
