Locating Well Points

We need a new liner. The contractor who installed the pool can’t locate the well points and didn’t document them at install. The former owners don’t have a clue. We’ve walked the property and haven’t found any pipes. Any idea how I might locate them?

If the well points are metal, you might use a metal detector to find the under ground. If they are made of plastic pipe, then you can't find them that way.

ask the contractor what type of well points he uses. even if you dont find them wait for dry weather and be ready to go with a pump and some extra hands. its quick and easy and have a load of water ready to go in. you can set a liner even with water issues

Find a contractor who can put in some new well points. It's not that difficult.

It's the point of a well.

Basically, it's just like any other well pipe but shallower.

Yes, a water well. They are installed so that you can pump water out of the ground near the pool.
