Liquid Chlorine
Hi all,

I noticed the pool store liquid chlorine (more expensive option) came with a tear-off cover on the jug while the cheaper department store chlorine did not have the vac sealed tear off lid. Does this make a difference?
They are both rated at the same percentage but the pool store one had a more distinct smell, both have dates in the last few months from manufacture.

Thanks!

All chlorine bottles are vented as the chlorine is always slowly offgassing and to actually seal the bottle would cause them to burst over time. The tear-off covers are more to indicate to the buyer that the bottle has not been opened since it was manufactured, it still allows the gas to vent.

It should make no difference which you use.
