Hi, I’m new at this and I wanted to know which one do you guys recommend, liquid chlorine or granulated chlorine?

Liquid chlorine is chlorine, water, and salt. Any granular chlorine comes with something extra that will build up. CYA is common, also calcium. Either can build up and be cause for a water exchange to reduce the amount. As such, if you have ready access to liquid chlorine, that's the best option all around.

I was a puck and powder guy...until I found TFP. My pool chemistry was a mess due to the additives that pucks and powder have. The first year I owned my pool, with pucks and powder, by the end of the summer I loathed my pool. Last year, the 2nd year I owned the pool, I found TFP. Switched to LC. And last year I had a Trouble Free Pool! I now love my pool because with using LC it is so easy to maintain!
Ditch the powder, and watch how much easier your upkeep is, and how much better off your pool is for it!

Thank you!!! I just started my new pool like three weeks ago and Im currently using powder. Can I just switch to liquid? Do I have to wait for al the chlorine to be gone before switching? Will switching to liquid alter my other parameters like ph or alkaline. Currently the chemicals are in parameters even do they always run on the high side( I live in Puerto Rico). Thank you so much !!! ?

You can switch immediately! I have 2 dozens bags of powder shock, and a tub full of pucks that I had already bought last year, just sitting, because once I found this forum I switched to LC and never looked back. You will find that LC requires less maintenance of your pH since the pucks and powders tend to be very acidic. So you will have no problems with pH switching to LC. If you were me, I'd go buy a few cases of LC. Try to store them in a cool, dark place (I keep mine in the basement). And never add powder or pucks to your water again.
By the way, how are you testing your water? I highly recommend you click the Pool School link to the left and up on your screen. Go read about the ABC's of water chemistry. How to properly test your water. Etc. If you have been using powdered C for a while you may have high CYA. So get a proper test kit and start testing your water accurately.

Yes, you can use liquid bleach as long as it doesn't have fancy additives or scents. Look at Clorox as at least here on the mainland they have introduced "Cloromax Technology" which you don't want in your pool.

As long as the HDX is fresh it is a higher concentration than regular bleach.

As long as it is fragrance free and not low-splash, go for it. Just be aware, clorox has a relatively low % of sodium hypochlorite. It is now at 6% with the latest formula, where a good pool LC will have 10% or 12.5%. And the pool LC tends to be a lot more cost effective per gallon.
Get the PoolMath app and it will guide you to the amount to add based on the % of the chlorine, and what your current FC level and CYA level are (which is why the testkit is so important).
