I have/had an Hayward Aqualogic system for my control. It is 14 years old and has had issues (Aqua Pod 2 issues). I'm getting a "Communication Error 2" message and a phone number to call. The good news the VSP pump and SWG are working. They work "standalone". They were on a relay in the Aqualogic so I could remotely turn everything off. But the programming was on the pump.
Option 1 is repair. The main board combined is about $450 - Advantage is it will fit my system and everything continues to match. I think it will also allow automation of the VSP and the Salt System (if I move the SWG cord to this unit), because the board is really for the Aqualogic Plus. If I had been smart, last summer I could have done this and just bought the flow switch and Salt Cell. Cost would have been comparable to the Aquarite complete system.
Option 2 is replace - Hayward has Omnilogic, but that looks like a "Dealer Install". There are other options out there. If I go with "Someone else", like Pentair, I lose the SWG and Pump automation.
Any thoughts?
