Light replacement for an old pool

I'd like to upgrade the underwater light of my pool to a LED and have selected for now the Pentair IntelliBrite White LED 601106:

Any of you have experience installing this lamp?
Besides the lamp fixture, I'm planning to buy the intermatic safety controller (300W so I'm ready for future upgrades):
Transformer - Intermatic 12-Volt PX300
And the pentair Intellibrite Controller:

I just replaced my old Pentair incandescent lights over to LED. Check out Florida Sunseeker Lights. I think they have a LED light you can just screw in place of your old light.

looks nice but I think I need to replace the entire fixture, there is a lot of corrosion and will be better off having a plastic fixture instead that won't leach metal into the pool...

Since you're getting a white LED do you need an IntelliBrite controller (used for color changing)? For a little more money you can get an IntelliConnect instead, or just a plain light switch.

I think the white is just the color of the glass. The led light bulb is what ultimately makes the color changing, but it is confusing indeed so I need to learn more about it.
And the point of the IntelliBrite controller is for anyone who wishes to alter the colors directly without having to pull their smartphone out...
