Light and features schedule, what's your preference???

Do you program your lights to come on every night, weekend or just turn them on when the pool is in use at night?

What about water features, ie deck jets, fountains? Is this a daily schedule?

Personally I like the look of the lights at night and sound of the water from the deck jets splashing during the day so right now I have the deck jets scheduled to come on in the am and scheduled to shut off at night, while the lights come on at sunset.

I only turn on my lights when I'm actually using the pool, as mine are the old-school 500 watt electricity-swilling type. I have lots of other LED landscaping and exterior lighting that runs on timers throughout the week, but the pool lights are an exception.

Waterfalls run automatically for 15 minutes twice a week, or as-desired. Running the waterfalls periodically keeps the water in the circuit from getting nasty, but running them excessively would result in too much aeration and increase acid demand.
