Opened to clear pool. (Thank you!) Couple of leaves. Water drained out by 1/3 (plug pops out of light/ return every year). Filled pool added liquid chlorine. Vacuumed with my new e10 robot. Ran filter several hours.

FC. 7
cc. Less than .5.
Ph. 7.4
TA. 60
CYA. Could barely see dot at 30. (Hate that test)

so im assuming cya is close to zero. Will add liquid stabilizer. It's from last year. Just keep shaking the bottle to mix? What's the best way to add it?

TA will rise a bit by itself? Not to worry?

Am I correct in thinking I don't need to slam?

Thank you again for my clear pool. Just wanted to make sure I got this right

Not too bad of numbers for just opening. For the CYA, I would recommend dosing in increments of 10 ppm just so that if your CYA is 10-20, you don't go too much higher than you need to right now. While a SLAM is very common at opening, if your water is crystal and your CCs are basically non-existent, you could do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test this evening. That would help to confirm. To add the liquid gold conditioner, I believe it works best to pre-dilute it before pouring, but you might check the bottle. As always, make sure to use the PoolMath to confirm your dosages. Hope that helps.
