Or, you can cringe right along with me. I have been slamming my pool for 5 days with virtually no color change in the swamp. I couldn't fill my pool to the normal level because I have a skimmer leak and I'm waiting on my neighbor to help me with plumbing related to that. Anyway...I added CYA to my pool as recommended and set my level for 35. As I have been slamming I did not take into account that I have less water in the pool. My CYA is actually 45! Not 35! I can't believe I did that!!! So...hopefully, I'll see some big changes today. Since I added my CYA only a few days ago, I'll probably test again on Monday to make sure the reading hasn't changed again. Geez...

And remember, you cannot test a level of 35 or 45 when it comes to CYA, it is either 30, 40, or 50. So your CYA is 50 ppm.
