Leisure FB pool decision: Ultimate 35 or 40 or the Supreme 35/40

Hello,

I am getting quotes for a new install of a FB inground. I have a builder who I like and he sells Leisure pools. I believe the quality is there for the pools based on warrantee and other posts. My wife and I have 2 boys 4 and 6. We are contemplating size and layout of the pool. I like the Supreme for its swim lane and openness of the Supreme. She likes the spa but not so much the splash pad of the Ultimate. I'd lie a 35 for symmetry and cost and she'd like a 40 for visual impact. Any thoughts from other owners of the same or similar pools?

Hi there!

We put in a fiberglass pool last year. Our pool builder used Tallman instead of Leisure, but I am familiar with picking the perfect shape and size for your needs! We have 2 girls - 4 and 7 and we had a ton of kids here last year (in the very best way!). As much as I would have LOVED a spa it was lower on our "want list" than other priorities - like a large swim deck and water feature wall.

My 2 cents (for what they are worth) is if this pool is for your kids and their friends as they grow up...get more open swim space. Our pool is 16x37 - free form shape with bucket seats around the outside so they don't eat into our swim space. It really is a great size. I know when we put in our pool we loved seeing build videos and such, in case you would as well - here are some that my husband posted of ours: https://www.youtube.com/user/cjskotni/videos?sort=dd&shelf_id=0&view=0

Best of luck with your decision!

I'm not a big fan of spas attached to pools, unlike stand alone hot tubs if one desires strong jets, hot water, and features that aren't in spas attached to pools. AND one can use them year round which doesn't happen in cold climates when pools get closed up for winter. My grandkids felt our hot tub was just a warm pool "their size" and meant for them! LOL

Boys get bigger.... along with their friends. Get as much pool as you can afford. I like the pool you chose without the spa best.

We have a Leisure Moroccan 38 and love it. Go as big as you can fit in the yard. Figure out how much deck you think you need and then double it. You can thank me later!
