LED Bulb Replacement

I'd like to upgrade my 120v 500w R40 Flood bulb in a Jandy series WPHV500WS30 to an LED one, can someone recommend one? Maybe I need to take the actual flood bulb out to get more dimensions?

I don't think the housing info is necessary since I'm just trying to replace the bulb inside but here it is:

LED bulbs can be all over the place, cheap to very expensive. Are you looking for just white or color too? I don't know anything about the niches and what will fit where, but one bulb to look at is from J and J Electronics. I have their LXG spa bulb in my spa and love it, their pool bulb is not quite rated at an equivalent to 500W I don't think. To say the least, they have a good reputation for a bulb in the mid range of pricing. Not the cheap stuff on line and not the cost of a Pentair either, but yet they put some good engineering and design in to the bulb. Google them and add them to the research to see if they would be a replacement for what you have.

Thanks, I found a cheap bulb but I got what I paid for, lights up about half of the pool. I think I'll just replace the whole unit.

This is the highest output LED BR40 bulb I could find. Not a super common bulb. At 2500lumen its pretty darn bright and even at $40 it a lot cheaper than a whole new light. It will be close to the output of the 500w incandescent you are used to not the same tho. An average 500wincandecent starts life with about 5000lumen output but that output falls very quickly down into the 3000lumen range after only a few hours of use. LED bulbs maintain greater than 90% their rated lumen output for the life of the bulb.
