Leaving for the weekend - no SWG (yet)

Heading out of town for the weekend and dont have a SWG. Should I overchlorinate w/ liquid or use a floater?

As I was coming down from my slam it took me 3 days to go from 17.5 down to 10.5. I was thinking of adding an extra 10 PPM and just testing when we get back on sunday

I was recently gone for 7 days. I normally run up to 7ppm. Raised it to 20ppm and added a float with 3ozs of trichlor and covered the pool (my cya was 30 so I wanted to increase that anyway). When I returned it was 13ppm. So I think I could have gotten by with just the trichlor. For reference 3oz of trichlor in my tiny pool raises FC by 5.4ppm. If you have wiggle-room with your CYA I'd go with pucks.

For a weekend I'd just bring it up to SLAM Level and hit the road. Gives plenty of wiggle room and other than a bit more burnoff than usual there's not much downside.
