So we are leaving for a weekend, what is the best way to prep the pool to be "OK" for two days? Or should I just have someone come stay at my house to add chlorine / acid if necessary (chlorine absolutely necessary, maybe acid - new plaster - always rising pH)

Thanks!

Simplest solution is some trichlor pucks in a floater, if you have room for a little more CYA. It's very acidic so it will help with the pH rise, too.

Otherwise, just raise the water level to allow for evaporation, lower pH to 7.2, and raise FC to shock level and go. It's only for a couple days. An otherwise healthy pool won't go green that fast.
