Hi guys, this is my 3rd time closing my aboveground pool myself. So i poured the winterizing liquid on the skimmer and waited for it to come out on the main drain (poured 2 bottles/container which is what i did last year) I dont put cover we really dont get a lot of leaves on it, but this year after closing closing it and seeing the color of the winterizing loquid around the main drain, unfortunately its beed extra windy that we got leaves in the pool. I tried to scoop it out slowly with a net and not move the pink liquid around the main drain. Now the leaves that fell at the bottom of the pool are on the main.

Is this okay?
It didnt do anything on the winterizing liquid on the main drain that it will cause it to freeze and break?

Good morning. This may be old news by now since you asked the question Sunday, but I wanted to follow p. Are you still concerned about residual antifreeze and/or leaves sitting at the bottom of the pool? Or did those things dissipate by now?

Im worried that the leaves pushed some water going in the main drain and disturbing the anti-freeze. Sorry im asking but its only my 2nd time closing it and we usually dont have leaves but its been very windy. Also if i may ask, its been freezing here in Quebec but the past 2-3 days its 18-20c and sunny will it hurt the pool that is already closed with anti-freeze. Thabks for replying to me

Nothing is keeping the antifreeze in the pipe. (Like a plug).

There will always be some water movement due to wind (uncovered pool) and convection and it's going to ooze out over time.
