I don’t have a scoop!! The powder is kind of clumped together even though there was a desiccant bag in it!

EDIT: I found the scoop! It had fallen through underneath the foam! I was wondering what went in that slot!

I was answering @Mdragger88 on my previous post and in the meantime figured out how to make it so everyone can see the logs!

The water is C O L D !!!

Your cya counts as 50 for chlorination purposes
(always round up if between two lines)
So that means for normal maintenance you want to dose to high target which is 8ppm for you & replenish again before fc falls to minimum of 4ppm

That would take approximately 2 gallons of 10% liquid chlorine for your pool volume

Pour it in slowly infront of a running return, avoiding from the pool wall, brush the area well.
The cc’s level is a little concerning so I suggest after getting your fc to target range that you do an
Overnight Chlorine Loss Test to rule out that you may have an organics problem.
You can take your nighttime oclt sample 30 minutes or so after your dose.
How does the pool look? Is it crystal clear or Any visible algae?

The pool is crystal clear as I just had a very old sand filter replace with a brand new cartridge filter last week. There was an immediate difference, (beforehand I could hardly make out the drain at the bottom of the deep end)!

We just bought the house last month and I’m sure the pool was unattended for a while. It did have a lot of leaves down at the bottom of the pool and floating on top and the spa was pretty green on the flat surfaces. I cleaned all the leaves out, got the spa clean replaced the sweep with a new Quattro P40 and my home warranty got me a new updated modem cartridge filter!

I did!! I added 2 gallons last night and waited 30 minutes.

The test results after waiting 30 min with the pump running:

FC 11
CC 1

I just test this morning after 30 min of pump running:

FC 8
CC 2

Looks like something is eating the chlorine?

I uploaded my test logs for all to see.

Is it weird that an hour later, I walked past the sample on the kitchen table and it’s turned pink again?!

It's maybe a little weird that you left a sample sitting on the kitchen table for an hour, but the sample does return to pink after about 10 minutes and it doesn't factor in to the reading.

I just didn’t pour it out yet after testing it first thing this morning!!

I walked past it to refresh my coffee and noticed the color change!

I’m headed down into town this morning to run some errands. If you know of any chemicals I need to buy per my test results that would be great!

Also, if it helps I have room in the pool to add more water if necessary to help with any readings? We are on city water.

Oh they are??? I haven't read about closing a pool yet! We would like to be able to use the spa during the winter but it's attached to the pool.

I'm so confused I thought I was testing to see what's wrong with my CC's?

Okay so since we will be at Home Depot, I should just pick up some more chlorine and call it good?

If you let it sit it will do that - do the tests & dump it

Yes. On the bottle/box will be a manufacturing code. 23XXX********* it was produced on day XXX of 2023. I divide the XXX by 30 to guesstimate the date but you could also Google the Julian calander from the aisle, or have it already screenshot-ed to your photos.

Anywho, you want 3 months old or less.

Your overnight FC loss needs to be addressed. The other parameters don't change much if you walk away from them for a couple of weeks.

Skimp on the FC, like you did, and it's a one way ticket to the SLAM Process .

Have a read and follow it to a T. It's a process not a one and done .
