Hi there, just recently moved into a house with a pool(6+months ago) so I am learning as much as I can. We have a pool person who was working on the pool but I have recently taken it over.

Took apart a two way valve since the check valve wasn’t in the right position, when taking it apart I noticed there was not O ring? Is That correct?

Also when I put it back, applied silicone to the lid, reinserted the screws, it is now slightly leaking now(a couple drops a minute) should
I remove and retighten? Or replace?

For the check valve, yes, take it apart and look it over one more time. Make sure all mating surfaces are clean and a little pool lube to help keep it in place as you reassemble. If that doesn't work you may just need a new O-ring.

As for the 3-way valve, it should have O-rings on the handle stem and one under the lid itself. One of mine was broke last week. If your valve is different (like a ball valve) let us know or show us a pic.
