Leaking to just above jets - HELP!

Hey everyone,

I've got an issue where my pool drains/leaks very quickly to just above the return jets on the pool walls (about 5-6 inches below standard waterline) and then just stops. I've had a serviceman come out a few times and try to find the leaks but no luck. He now thinks it's in the pipes. My question is, if the leak is in the piping, shouldn't the water drain to below or at least somewhere in between the top/bottom of the jets? Right now it leaks very quickly to about 2cm above the jets and stops.

Thanks for the advice/perspective ahead of time.

What else is at the level, light etc?

The return lines are not all at the level of the return fittings.

At some point, the lines go higher to get to the pump.

You can try plugging the lines to see if that makes a difference.

You would have to plug all system holes or at least open the pump basket or filter air bleed to isolate the suction from the returns.
