Pool may be built between 1980 ~ 2000
vinyl pool,
sand filter,
50,000L

I suspect my pool has been leaking for years. I can see water coming from a pvc pipe some time when the water level in a pool is high. Today, I finally start to dig the pipe which has water coming out. The pvc pipe is not connect to the pumping system and has a large crack at the end near the pool. I can see water coming out the crack.

Can anyone give me some information about the purpose of the (broken pipe) and the two outlets/values?

Regards,

Guiyuan

Guiyuan,

If the broken pipe is not connected to the suction or pressure side of your plumbing, then most likely it is some kind of overflow outlet.

What size is the broken pipe?

Is one end visually connected to the pool?

Thanks,

Jim R.

Guiyuan,

I am not sure what "outlets" are? Maybe we call them something else here..

Does one end of the broken pipe go to the middle of the pic with the rocks and vegetation??

If so, that is most likely an overflow drain.

Thanks,

Jim R.
