Opened my friends pool today and noticed that her MPV o-ring needs replaced as it is leaking. Here is her current set up. Could we just get a new piece of flex pipe and run it to the pipe fitting that goes into the MPV? Is there a reason the PB added these 2 extra fittings? Also, can someone give me a link to the proper flex pipe that can be used on pool pumps?

What does "bump" mean?
The PB didn't install those extra fittings, the guy who replaced or serviced the filter did. And he used the wrong fittings.
I would install unions right after the threaded adapters into the valve so it can be more easily serviced in the future.
That is flex pvc, and is available at most pool and spa suppliers, plumbing suppliers, and home depot. I would recommend replumbing in rigid pvc if you can.

Thank you RDspaguy!
One more question, if this fitting cracks when taking the flex pvc off at the opposite end on the pump, is it replaceable too?
