After 3 weeks of ground prep I finally got my 15'x48" Intex prism up. It was fine for about a week, but just now I saw there was water leaking from the hose that goes into the sand/swg combo (outlet from the pool). It's one of those 1.5" hoses with a nut that you twist. I double checked that the rubber gasket is inside the hose and is seated properly. Is there anything I can do to stop the leaking?

Try putting a metal hose clamp on that hose. Sometimes you just can't get those thumbscrew clamps right enough.
