Have a small leak at the top of the DE filter, the top threaded hole at the very top:
I put teflon tape around the white fitting that I screwed into it, but it still leaks a little. Also, same thing with my pressure gauge which has small leak now too. Should I try doubling up on the teflon tape? I did some digging afterward I connected it and i read you should only put the tape on clockwise, or the same direction your thread the pipe in so it doesn't bunch up, which I'm not sure if I did.
I've never had leaking before and the teflon tape always fixed it, but it's not this time. I then read Permatex #2 would work? If I use it, do I have to let it dry before I can turn the system on, or can I turn it on as soon as is thread the pipe back in?
Any other easy solutions are welcomed. I just wanted to use what I have here and no have to run out to grab something else.
