Leaking at the waterfall connection

We have a hard freeze going on here in Dallas and I noticed we started losing water in the pool. Traced it down to the connection where the pipe for the waterfall connects to the spillway. It has a threaded connection. Waterfalls have been running constantly since Friday with the freeze protection on. Does that connection need to be spun tighter or do I need to wait until it warms up in two days to shut down the waterfall pump? Thanks for the advice!

I am not sure based on the picture that the connection can be tightened as it stands? Until things warm up you could reduce the flow to the waterfall and that should reduce the leak.

Some more detail in your signature would be helpful. Make and type of pumps, how you chlorinate, automation, etc.

Take care.
