Hi very new here. New pool owner. Only my 4th season. Also new to being a widow. I dint know what I'm doing. I hired someone to open and close my above ground pool last season. At $250 each time to open and same to close, I can't afford, so did it myself with YouTube.
My filter was leaking on top. I didn't have the proper tools but I borrowed and fixed that problem. Now I noticed it's leaking at the base of the filter. Is this normal?
I have a hayward perflex EC40C90.

Please help. I've been with my husband since I'm 15 years old. He unexpectedly died Oct 2020 of misdiagnosed cancer. No life insurance and $20,000 in burial costs pretty much, wiped me clean. I really can't afford to call in a professional. I'm a young grandmother helping raise my 6 year old granddaughter who enjoys the pool so much. I just can't afford to keep adding water because of this leak.

Thank you in advance

Welcome to TFP! Very sorry to hear about your husband's passing. 👼 But when it comes to pool water and equipment we have lots of folks here happy to help. For the filter leaking, can you post a pic or two of the area please?
