Several days ago I had to start putting water in my pool every day. Didn’t think anything of it as we have had lots of swimmers for the 4th of July and the days before. No one swam yesterday and it seemed low again. I marked the water level last night and found I lost roughly 1/2 an inch in a 12 hour span.
I did just replace our liner back at the beginning of May. Have had no issues up until now. I did the dye test around the returns, skimmer and light. I don’t seem to see anything there. Have also checked the skimmer for cracks. I do notice that the returns are bubbling a bit. Didn’t pay attention before so not sure if they have always been doing that?? Any suggestions I can try while waiting for a pool company to do a leak test?

What is the outdoor relative humidity level where you live? It is not uncommon to lose ½" - 1" of water per day due to evaporation in dry climates. That is considered "standard" loss rates in AZ. The bubbles you see coming from your returns are most likely due to the SWG.

FYI…I found a small pea sized puncture in my liner right near my steps. We just had a storm roll through 19 days ago with some golf ball sized hail. That is the only thing I can think of that could have caused it. Anyway…patched it and water is holding now.
