Leak

Had a new whisperflo VST installed today because my intelliflo VST croaked. When we turned it on the salt cell started leaking a lot. Pool repairman says it’s not the switch but from the inside and needs replaced. Would pressure from the new pump cause this?

Not likely the pump caused it but where is it leaking from. If it's the unions just snug them up a bit.

He tried tightening. He said when it’s leaking from this area it’s toast. Fortunately I have home warranty that covered the new pump and will cover this. My heater chiller went out at same time as pump and both smelled burned per 2 different repairmen. I’m wondering what happened to all of the equipment!

Probably a leak at the flow switch.
