Hi, I just became a bronze member, I don't think it shows yet. I need to research and hopefully find some answers.

I bought this house 5 years ago. The pool was built by Shasta in about 2006. It had an older Hayward NS but a year ago I put in a Pentair Interflow pump and a Pentair Clean and clear filter. For about 3 yes my pool has been loosing water. I haven't done any testing but I know where it's going in my yard. I called one place and they want $250 to test and since I have inground cleaners possibly another $200.

Does anyone recommend someone in AZ?

Anything I can do to make it cheaper? The water goes down about 4 inches and when the pump is running. I think I have bubbles but hard to tell. It's never gone below the skin basket. I've never really let it. The opposite side of where my equipment is us where it seems to be leaking in my yard. I do need a new cement pad as it's falling apart but I don't think it has anything to do with it.

Does your pool have separate returns from the infloor? If so, isolate the infloor and see if it's still leaking. Since you know where it is apparantly leaking in the yard, you may be able dig around a little to see if you can localize the leak. You may even get lucky and find the source of the leak... ok, no leak is lucky, but you if you find it you probably won't need to pay for leak detection.

Post a few pictures of your pool equipment pad. That will allow us to determine if you have separate returns or not. Also show us your pool and where you think its leaking into the yard.

I also need a leaf strainer basket and ordered a Hayward. It doesn't fit. Mine is 6 3/4 wide and 25 inches tall.

If you are meaning a basket that fits in your leafvac (the gold canister without the lid on it in pic 2), you will need to get an A&A LeafVac replacement - as I mentioned in your other post... here: Help, leaf basket, light gasket - post #3

Your pool pad looks eerily similar to my in-law's. Shasta installed that pool in 2007. If it's anything like there's, you can't really shut off the IFC. Based on what I know about their pool, here's what I think your plumbing does:
