Layout of sr smith figure 4 hand rail

Hello first post here.
Need some help with positioning of an sr smith figure 4 handrail for a ladder egress at the deep end

steps are built into pool wall so this is not a walk out railing system but will cantilever over the pool edge

Trying to figure out how much railing should extend over the edge of the pool coping (over the water)

seems like if the offset is 26 inches with an 8 in spread on the posts it would project 6 inches over the water as the pond beam is 12 inches thick Seems to make sense considering you are reaching for the bottom of the bar while treading water

I put the first cup 10 to 12 inches from the coping edge depending on the stair depth. So overall there 6 to 8" overhang on the water
