So I haven't tested my pool since I had to drop my pH. Which is now where is should be. We had alot of rain that diluted my pool to the point the salt was down to 2400 and CYA was low and it was getting really cloudy fast. pH was so far out, I couldn't get a decent reading on the color chart. I did what I needed but I think I may have added too much 10% bleach(actually HD shock).

Here are my results from today.
pH 7.6
fc 11.5
cc .5
TC 12
CYA 50
CH 110
TA 90-100
Temp 91*
Salt 3100
SWG setting 35

I have been running the SWG at 35 for the month of July. Should I turn it down all the way till I get to 5ish on FC? I'm guessing I'm making too much chlorine. I run the pump/SWG 10am-8pm & 4am-6am.
Should I be running it less?

Thanks

Your SWG can produce 8ppm of FC in your pool at 100% in a day. Your running at 35% for 12 hours means it is adding 1.4ppm of FC each day ... that is on the low side.
Pools often lose 2-4ppm of FC each day.

I do not think I would lower the output as I expect your FC is going to drop anyway and may reach some equilibrium above your minimum. If it keeps dropping though, then you need to either raise the CYA more or increase the SWG output.

Why am I not losing FC? We have been getting rain storms daily, and when not raining it's been in the mid to upper 90's. It should be diluting right? I think I'll have to test over 24 hours without the SWG on to see what happens.

I wouldn’t turn the SWG off. If for some reason your tears are off and your numbers are really lower, then you could get in trouble with FC below min. If anything i may just reduce the run time and see what happens. Also measure from a different spot in the pool and see what happens. My pool with same run time and same weather condition will sometime go up and sometimes go down, seems somewhat random.

I was just going to shut it off and see if I can get a drop in FC. OCLT of sorts.

You said you manually added bleach - how much did you add and when? Those FC levels aren't going to hurt anything and they should start coming down anyway.

If I'm not mistaken it was June 27th or so. For sure before July 4th because I had it cleaned by then and was looking great. That day I had 15 or so kids in the pool.

I was beginning to lose the balance of the water thanks to all the rain we had had in June. Water was overflowing and getting too diluted. And I was starting to get algae. Salt was low also.
I had added 5lbs CYA, 4 bags of salt, 2 bottles of MA, pH was off the charts, and 3 bottles of HD 10%. 3 days later I was back to good but had high chlorine levels.
