Hi ! I just got my pool in-ground pool filled yesterday with a Lantham pool liner in Reef . It seems a lot more green then when it was first filled especially in the deep end . The shallow end is the pretty light blue that I saw in many pics of pools in this liner. I am a little surprised with how it looks more like a green blue since in all the pics I saw of this liner the color looked like a light blue .. was wondering if it is bc the chemicals and filter are not in yet . Anyone have the reef liner and it looked more green before filter and chemicals were put in ? Thank you!! Also we are new to owning a pool so I know this might be a silly question lol but thanks for the help !

It often takes a few days along with balancing the chems for a pool's water color to be settled or developed. Pool water color is also affected by weather/light.

You can start balancing your chemicals in the water now if you can circulate the water to mix it up- perhaps do you have a pool cleaning robot you can toss in? A sump pump works. What you don't want is to give algae a chance to take hold of your unprotected water.

I'm wondering how this worked out as I need to change liners next spring and hovering between Latham Reef and Crystal (or Quartz Crystal - there is some confusion there if they are different). We like a light blue, they no longer make our original liner (white vinyl, blue pebbles with the odd brown pebble) so don't want to make the mistake of going too dark or too light AND I haven't seen Reef, but my understanding si that "Teal" is a Blue Green and so I assume would be darker and tend to go towards the green spectrum deeper down.

Long way of asking, was it pool chemistry / cleaning, or was it simply the liner (remembering that most of the colour of water/liner comes from reflection of the blue sky. Thank you in advance!

Take a look at these real-pool pics to see if it helps:
